Transatlantic dialogue – Exchange between Ms Mónica Pinto and Mr Emmanuel Decaux

The Argentinian public television channel Canal Encuentro organized a meeting between Ms. Mónica Pinto, professor, lawyer and former Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers, and Mr. Emmanuel Decaux, professor, former Chairman of the United Nations Committee on Enforced Disappearances and President of the René Cassin Foundation. This cross-examination in French and Spanish provides the opportunity for an unprecedented dialogue on issues such as the boundary between theory and practice in international human rights law, the vision of human rights within United Nations bodies, and the interweaving of human rights in international law.
