2nd Brazzaville Session – Restorative Justice
The2nd Brazzaville session, organized jointly by the Fondatin René Cassin, the Institut de Formation aux Métiers de la Ville and the Commission nationale des droits de l’homme de Congo Brazzaville, will be held from October 28 to November 2, 2024 on “Restorative Justice”.
The aim of this face-to-face session is to offer a French-speaking audience, including members of the judiciary, law enforcement agencies and government officials, access to excellent training in the field of restorative justice, and to contribute to the exchange of knowledge. The program aims to strengthen the skills of practitioners and build a common understanding of the new challenges affecting restorative justice, among justice and judicial professionals, as well as youth protection professionals.
It will enable :
- Strengthen inter-network contacts and exchanges of information between the judicial, prison, youth protection and administrative authorities, and the legal professions, with a view to improving mutual understanding;
- Promote restorative justice and related procedures to government officials and enable exchanges of views between the various players;

This training course is aimed at representatives of local and central authorities, lawyers and magistrates, court clerks and other members of the judicial family, including the prison administration, government officials, law enforcement agencies (army, gendarmerie, police), youth protection professionals and sociologists, and members of civil society.
Admission requirements
- Hold at least a four (4) year university degree or equivalent in law, political science or social science.
- Professionals and practitioners working with the target group ;
The registration fee is 170 euros (non-refundable)/ 111,512 FCFA (XAF)
Registration fees can be paid online via the René Cassin Foundation website or in cash in FCFA.
Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participant.
